Snake Arena

A multiplayer snake game played on your TV, with your phone as the controller.

Snake Arena is the classic snake game with everyone on one shared board. Up to eight snakes move on the big screen at the same time, each steered with four arrows on a phone. A round lasts 60 seconds, a crash only costs you a few seconds, and the walls close in for the finish. It works as a single-player snake game too.

How to play Snake Arena

  1. Every snake keeps moving. Tap an arrow on your phone to turn; two quick taps make a U-turn.
  2. Eat apples to grow. The game starts slow and gets faster as the round goes on.
  3. Hitting a wall, your own tail or another snake ends that life. You come back 3 seconds later at a safe spot, and your old body is left on the board as food for the others.
  4. If another snake runs into your body, you get a KO worth 5 points. Two heads meeting is a crash for both, with no KO.
  5. Hold Boost to move twice as fast. It costs a little of your length.
  6. After 30 seconds the walls close in by one ring every 5 seconds, three to five times depending on the number of players. A ring blinks before it closes; a snake whose head is caught crashes, and any body left outside is cut off.
  7. Your score is your longest length plus 5 for each KO. Solo, you get one life in the same 60 seconds, the snake speeds up every 5 apples, and you play for your longest snake.

Controls

Four arrow buttons and a Boost button you hold down. While you wait to come back, tap the way you want to go first.

Tips

  • A long snake is a wall. Get in front of another snake so it runs into you.
  • Boost to grab food that a crashed snake left behind before anyone else does.
  • When the walls start blinking, move towards the middle: the blinking ring closes next.

Start Snake Arena in three steps

  1. Open ourconsole.in on a TV or laptop and press Host a game.
  2. Connect each phone to the same WiFi and scan the QR code on the screen.
  3. The first player picks Snake Arena from the menu on their phone.
