Good to know
What is Our Console?
+
Our Console is a browser-based game console. You open it on a TV or laptop, players scan a QR code, and their phones become the controllers. It has 21 games: 3D racing, football, cricket and sumo, arcade games, quizzes, party games such as Mafia and dumb charades, carrom, the card game 28 and housie.
Do I need to download or install anything?
+
No. Our Console runs in the web browser on the big screen and on every phone. There is no app, no account and no sign-up.
How many players can play?
+
One to eight players. 12 games can be played solo, and 8 of those add computer opponents when you play alone. With two or more players there are no computer players. The party games need more people: three for most, four for Odd One Out and Act It Out, and five for Mafia Night. 28 is for exactly four players and Housie for two to eight.
Can I play alone?
+
Yes. 12 of the 21 games work as single-player games: Turbo Circuit, Goal Rush, Snake Arena, Penalty Shootout, Super Over, Sumo Smash, Blast Grid, Paint Wars, Trivia, Math Rush, Memory Code and Carrom. Our Console remembers your personal best for each one on that screen.
What do I need to play?
+
One shared screen with a web browser (a smart TV, laptop, tablet or projector), one phone per player, and WiFi that all of them are connected to.
Do all phones have to be on the same WiFi?
+
Yes. Connect every phone to the same WiFi as the big screen. Phones then talk straight to the screen over your own network, which keeps the delay to a few thousandths of a second.
Does it work without the internet?
+
You need the internet to open the page and to join the room. After that, every button press travels over your own WiFi straight to the screen, so a slow internet connection does not slow the game down.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
+
Yes. The controller runs in Safari on iPhone and in Chrome on Android. The big screen works in any modern browser.
Is Our Console like AirConsole or Jackbox?
+
It is the same idea: one shared screen, and phones as the controllers. The differences are that Our Console needs no app, account or purchase, sends your inputs over your own WiFi for low delay, and includes single-player games with computer opponents.
Is Our Console free?
+
Yes. All games are free to play.
Which games are included?
+
Arcade and sport: Turbo Circuit (3D racing), Goal Rush (3D football), Snake Arena, Penalty Shootout, Super Over (cricket), Sumo Smash, Blast Grid and Paint Wars. Brain: Trivia, Math Rush and Memory Code. Social: Most Likely To, Hot Bomb, Fake Out, Odd One Out, Mafia Night, Sketch It and Act It Out. Table and cards: Carrom, 28 and Housie.
What is tournament mode?
+
A tournament plays five games in a row. Before each one, everyone votes on their phone between three games. Points from every round add up, the last round counts double, and the player with the most points stands on top of the podium at the end.
Who controls the room?
+
The first player to join is the host. Their phone picks the games, starts tournaments and can end a game. The host can hand the role to any other player from the room menu.
What happens if someone disconnects?
+
A player whose phone stays disconnected for a few seconds is eliminated from the running game and can join again for the next one. If the big screen disconnects, the game ends for everyone.
The screen is already there. Start a game.
Open this page on your TV or laptop and you are one tap away from a room.
